MOTD: A Low Maintenance, Everyday Look

I love it when I have time to carefully craft a full-blown, glam makeup look because then I can really flex my creative muscles. More often than not though, I’m lucky if I have 15 minutes to look like I even put a shred of effort into my makeup. I usually keep it simple when I have a short amount of time, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a little fun right? I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette for this (I’m obsessed with it at the moment).

I started by applying the shade Golden Ochre all over the lid and then added a bit of Primavera in the center of my lid for some depth. I chose Golden Ochre because it’s only slightly lighter than my skin tone, so if you are fairer skinned you might want to use one of the lighter matte shades in the palette, or if you are darker skinned, you’ll want to find a matte shadow close to your lid color. MOTD Low Key Bronze 1

To add some definition to my crease, I took the shade Raw Sienna on a fluffy blending brush and worked that in circular motions through and just above the crease.MOTD low key bronze 3

I finished the eyes off by lining my lower lash line with a bronze liner (Colour Pop Liner in Over Board) and smudged it out with Antique Bronze shadow from the Modern Renaissance Palette.

I also lined my upper lash line with black gel liner and added mascara to my top lashes.

After I applied my foundation and filled in my brows, I added a little bit of highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones and down the center of my nose for some added glow, and then I added a neutral blush (Makeup Geek Infatuation) and a light wash of color lip color.

On the lips: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Grace applied very lightly with my fingers and topped with Glossier Balm Dotcom.

This look isn’t as fun or dramatic of some of my others, but it’s great for looking put together in a pinch!

How do you make yourself look put together when you’re strapped for time? Let me know in the comments below!

Love and Hugs,

Tamara

  1. OH! I love Overboard liner, it’s my new fave and it’s gorgeous here especially with that popsicle mouth lip! You look so polished, and all the colors on your hair and face are in your top! So much love for this.
