September Favorites

I have some all-time favorite products (which I’ve talked about here before) but I thought it would be fun to check in with you guys and let you know what I was loving last month!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

It should be shocking to no one that this palette is on this list as it has really been my favorite since I got it in July. I love the rich, warm tones in the palette and you can create so many different looks using it! The shadows are well pigmented and blend really well and I just really love this palette!

MAC Taraji P. Henson Collection Mineralize Skinfinish in Highlight the Truthmac-taraji-p-taraji-glow

I’m obsessed with this whole collection but I use this Mineralize Skinfinish almost every day to either highlight my face or as a pretty shimmer shadow on my eyelids. This is still available on MAC’s website for now but it is LE. It’s listed as a soft bronze coral with gold shimmer but I’d say it’s pretty much rose gold. In fact, it’s very similar to the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold but it has more subtlety and is less metallic in sheen.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer

I did a round-up of primers for oily skin recently on xoVain and although this one didn’t win my top spot, it’s grown on me since then. ย I typically only use this through my t-zone, but it helps keep even my dewier foundations in place throughout the day.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Radiant Bronze Light

I became obsessed with bronzer over the summer and even though we are heading into fall I’ve been really into a more bronzed look with simple eyes and bold lips. I think the overall effect is really fresh and I especially love the glow I get with Radiant Bronze Light. Since it’s infused with the Ambient Lighting Powder it gives a nice natural finish with a hint of shimmer that isn’t out of control glittery.

Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup

Why, oh why must I love expensive foundation?! WHY?! You guys know my HG foundation is YSL Fusion Ink, but I recently have taken to wearing Maestro almost everyday because it ย makes my skin look so radiant! Sometimes I’ll even mix it with my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and then it really amps up the radiance.

  1. You must love expensive foundation because a lot of it is really, really great? I love the color match I get from elf, and like it better than a lot of foundations, but I got a Dior sample not to long ago, and only used that till it was gone. I guess the next sample should be Maestro or Georgio Armani…

    1. Yeah I used to be ride or die for Revlon Colorstay but then when I started discovering higher end options I was ruined lol. Color matching is the big factor I think, I tend to have more options in higher end brands and the undertones are better for me.

      1. Same for me, I was just not into buying drugstore foundations that wouldn’t match but Estee Lauder had my perfect shade in double Wear and It lasts so well on my oily skin! Only thing stopping me from trying out more high end brands is obviously the price tag…!

      2. With mattifying primer the Giorgio Armani one lasts well but I haven’t found anything as perfect as the YSL Fusion Ink, not as radiant of a finish but man it stays on forever!

  2. Lovely! I find myself using a ridiculous amount of highlighter still, as eyeshadow, inner corner highlight, and all over my cheek bones. I’m getting my money out of it, dang it. Ironically, I have a multitude of lipsticks I rarely touch. ๐Ÿ™‚ oh well. ๐Ÿ˜€ anyone else like this?
