October Favorites

I’m looking at my calendar totally baffled by the fact that it is already November! It doesn’t help that the temperature in my neck of the woods has failed to drop much below 80 degrees save for the odd day here or there. I mean, what is that even? Rude! Anyways, here are the products I was obsessed with last month!

L’Oreal Voluminous Liner Noiroct-fav-2016

I’m in love with liquid liner pens because they make doing a cat eye very easy. My all-time favorite liquid liner pen is the one from Kat Von D, but sometimes mama doesn’t have Kat Von D money if you know what I mean. At first I didn’t like this pen because the tip seemed a tad to stiff, but after a couple of uses it loosened up more and it has worked really well since then. It isn’t as stay put as the Kat Von D but it is a nice, inky black and stays on pretty well in comparison to other drugstore pens!

Emite Make Up Lip and Cheek Tintoct-fav-2-2016

I don’t normally like watery cheek tints because they seem to always find their way into every available pore on my cheeks. This tint has a slightly less watery texture than most though and it looks amazing! It blends really easily and it stays on my cheeks all day (I’ve even worn it without setting powder or any foundation underneath and it didn’t fade at all! It gives off a nice, fresh-faced flush.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Cherry Pickingoct-fav-3-2016

I’ve heard a lot of people gush about this shade but I’ve always been a “Sugar Plum Fairy” devotee so I never thought to try it. Recently I decided to give it a whirl and I am OBSESSED. I’ve been trying to give my skin a little bit of a break by not wearing foundation some days and when I do that I especially love wearing this lipstick (with the Emite stain on my cheeks) because it just brightens up my whole face.

 Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbonnirvana-bourbon-1

I just wrote an entire blog post on this so I won’t bore you with the details again (just read the review here). I cannot stop wearing this!

What have you been loving in October? Any new releases you’re itching to get your hands on?

  1. Wow! That wNW looks phenomenal. I’ve been at a dilemma recently. I’ve been wanting to try a MAC lipstick, and I have a lot of WnW colors. What is your opinion with cheap vs expensive colors?

    1. I love the Wet N Wild lipsticks and there are some drugstore lipsticks in general that are some of my all time favorites for sure. I am a HUGE MAC lipstick fan though so I think they are absolutely worth it. I tend to stick with their Matte, Retro Matte, and Satin formulas because I think they perform the best. Retro mattes are super dry but they stay put almost as well as a liquid lipstick in my opinion. My favorites from MAC are Ruby Woo, Heroine, Flat Out Fabulous, and Rebel. There are a lot of other ones that I love, but those are the shades I’ve repurchased multiple times.

      1. I’m saving all of your recs. Thanks so much for replying! I would love to see a post of your skin care regime…is that the right word? Regiment? Idk. The stuff you put on your skin, lol! It really is looking top notch glowly lately!

      2. My skin has actually been on the fritz lately so I’m trying to figure out what in my routine needs to change. Once I land on something and do it consistently for at least a month I will definitely post a routine!

      3. Hope this doesn’t double post, but at least want to say thanks for the reply, and I’m saving all this info for future reference! Thanks!!!
