MOTD: Double Chocolate

I’ve never been one to shy away from bright colors and fun looks, but I am OBSESSED with chocolate tones both on the eyes and lips. Something about those tones, especially in a matte finish looks so sultry to me. This week’s look is a combination of matte chocolate tones on the eyes and a matte chocolate lip.

I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Makeup By Mario Master Palette for this look, but all you need is a warm, matte chocolate shadow, a matte, soft orange shadow, a eyebrow highlight shadow (the one I used is a pale yellow gold with a slight shimmer), and a rose gold shimmer shadow.

After I primed my lids I used a fluffy blending brush to apply Violeta (chocolate) all over my lid up to just above my crease because I wanted the look to be a little more diffused and slightly imperfect. motd-chocolate-1

Next I took the shade Isabel (orange) and used another fluffy blending brush to buff out the crease to just below the brow bone.

I also applied the brow bone highlight just after this.

After I applied my foundation, I applied Violeta to my lower lash line with a tapered blending brush.motd-chocolate-3

I finished the eyes off by adding Kim (rose gold) to the inner corner of my eyes and lining the outer third of my upper lash line very thinly with black liquid liner.motd-chocolate-4

I finished the look off by adding some cream blush to the cheeks and a matte red-brown liquid lipstick to my lips.

Lipstick is Jordana Sweet Cream Matte in Molten Chocolate Cake (review coming soon).

  1. What a fabulous finish! I say “Chocolates look great on you!”
Now its time for a double chocolate mocha latte’. 🙂

  2. ❤️ This! I’ve been liking the essence lipsticks too!!! Shockingly! The nude love in 11 and the shade in 07 have been ones I’ve been reaching for on days I’m barely wearing makeup or want a “nude” lip.
